I made it just in time to catch the incredibly inspirational “HEADS UP! A Soulful Celebration of Our HAIRitage” event in Brooklyn last week.  So many fabulous natural dos’ in the audience, so overwhelming (in the best way possible). Unfortunately my camera wasn’t cooperating so I lost some lovely shots but I managed to salvage a few.

One of my favorites was of Numi & Ummkhair and their amazing halos. Serious “fro evny” (as my homie Sharri would say).

Latasha, one of my favorite spottings from that fabulous pre-summer day in Fort Greene.  She had this haircare tidbit to add:

“the only real tip that has helped me is moisture moisture moisture and the less shampoo the better. I rinse my hair with Apple Cider Vinegar instead.”
